Product detailed description

Sahiba Spanish Saffron.

Ingredients: Whole Saffron.

Product is packed in a plastic box.

Saffron is the most luxurious and most expensive spice in the world with a unique aroma, adding a beautiful yellow color with a warm shade to dishes. The spice is obtained by collecting stamens, which are located in the middle of the crocus flower. There are only three such stamens in one flower. To obtain 1 kg of saffron, it is necessary to collect about 150,000 flowers, which are processed by hand and then dried in a fire or broiler, where at least one mistake will lead to crop loss. Such a laborious process makes saffron the most expensive spice in the world.

Saffron is great in combination with rice, meat and fish. It is also used in the production of confectionery and ice cream, in cocktails and champagne. Despite the delicate aroma, saffron has a very intense taste. Only 3-4 bars are used per meal.

Saffron is an excellent natural preservative, used in medicine for many centuries, is part of hundreds of drugs. They are most distinguished by its disinfecting properties, beneficial effect on the skin and normalization of metabolic processes in the body. Saffron supports the proper functioning of the female and male sexual organs and has been shown to help reduce fatigue and exhaustion and overall mental health stability.

Use: During cooking, it is possible to add ground saffron, especially for recipes for stewing and cooking. Saffron sticks must be soaked before use. 3-6 sticks pour 20-30 ml of hot or boiling water and let stand for at least 5 minutes, then add the orange concentrated liquid to the food you are cooking. The maximum recommended daily dose is 0.2 g.

Store saffron in a dry and dark place.
